New Job, Rules, and Challenges

"The main struggle/challenge that I’m facing is that this is my second month as a pharmacy technician and I am still learning..."

April 16, 2020

“I help patients in need when they call in a grocery list. I go get the items and when they come through the drive thru I already have everything bagged up with their groceries.

My fears with COVID-19 are all the germs I touch throughout the day. I constantly wash my hands and sanitize them. On a normal day it’s constantly busy, but now since we have the free delivery for medication and groceries, it has slowed up. Some new rules are that every employee must wear a mask, glass shields have been put up, etc.

The main struggle/challenge I’m facing is that this is my second month as a pharmacy technician and I am still learning medications etc., but I love what I do and helping people.

The tips/advice I give to other pharmacy technicians are to work at a pace that you're comfortable with. Try not to let yourself get overwhelmed.”
