Eligibility Requirements

A candidate must hold an active PTCB CPhT Certification and have completed: 

​✔ at least 3 years of work experience as a pharmacy technician within the last 8 years, and
​✔ at least four certificate programs (must include TPV and/or Medication History), or three certificate programs (must include TPV and/or Medication History) and the Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician® (CSPT®) Certification


How to Apply

CPhTs must submit an application in order to be granted the CPhT-Adv credential. There is no additional fee or exam associated with the application. Those who wish to maintain their CPhT-Adv credential must recertify every 2 years by completing continuing education (CE) in addition to the CE required for CPhT recertification.

The CPhT-Adv application will be made available when exam results for the Billing and Reimbursement Certificate and/or Hazardous Drug Management Certificate are finalized in late 2020. Check back for further information.
