Establish yourself as an experienced pharmacy technician by earning your Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician™ (CPhT-Adv™) credential.
There is no exam associated with claiming your CPhT-Adv Certification.
A candidate must hold an active PTCB CPhT Certification and have completed:
✔ At least 3 years of work experience as a pharmacy technician within the past 8 years, and
✔ At least four PTCB Assessment-Based Certificate Programs or three Certificate Programs and the Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician® (CSPT®) Certification.
CPhTs must submit an application in order to be granted the CPhT-Adv credential. There is no additional fee or exam associated with the application.
Candidates can monitor their progress toward eligibility by viewing their progress bar within their PTCB Account. Once a candidate is eligible to apply, they will receive an email from PTCB inviting them to submit an application.
When you are granted certification, your certificate will be available to download through your PTCB Account.
Upon earning your certification, you will receive an email invitation from the Credly Platform via badge@ptcb.org with instructions for claiming your badge and setting up your account.
This digital badge will contain information describing your certification, including how you earned it. You can display the badge in your email signature, electronic files of a resume, and on social media sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
CPhT-Advs are required to renew their certification every 2 years to maintain their credential. Learn more.
