I became a pharmacy technician to provide job stability for myself and my family. Along the way, I developed a passion for serving our patients and I realized the opportunity for growth within this field.
My employers have consistently supported and encouraged any growth opportunities that could benefit me. They cheered me on the whole way as I worked to achieve my CPhT-Adv credential. With my new credentials, I am able to stay up-to-date on pharmacy knowledge while building my resume. This has helped me continue climbing the ladder within our company.
PTCB certificates can support any technician who seeks to continuously learn. As they say, if we don't use it, we lose it, so this is definitely one way not to lose it. Keep your minds fresh and I promise your employers will see that. Don't be afraid to ask questions and keep open lines of communication with your leadership. If you learn something through PTCB that correlates with the job you do now, and you feel like your pharmacy may be missing something, bring it up! Don't be afraid to have those discussions. They will appreciate what you bring to the table.
