Helping Patients with a Kind Heart

"Some days I am so tired, but I know I am needed and my patients need me with my kind heart during this time."

September 29, 2020

“On November 26, I will have worked at VA hospital for 30 years, 24 of which were in pharmacy. I struggled studying for the pharmacy exam, but did not give up. I wanted to be the best technician I could be and am proud to say I never gave up. I learned a lot and enjoyed the challenge. Lots of obstacles were in my way but God kept me strong.

Working on the frontline during COVID-19 is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I am praying everyone does the right things and stays safe. I never know if someone is truthful concerning COVID-19, I just put it in God’s hands.

Technicians have been keeping six feet of distance with their mask on, hands washed, and doing the right thing. You don't want to be the reason someone loses their life. I know sometimes COVID-19 just doesn't feel real, but it kills. Some days I am so tired, but I know I am needed and my patients need me with my kind heart during this time.”
