Giving a Hand to the Underserved

"All of our patients need help with their treatment and getting all of their free/low cost treatment so they can isolate themselves has been a challenge."

April 14, 2020

“I work for an underserved clinic. All of our patients need help with their treatment and getting all of their free/low cost treatment so they can isolate themselves has been a challenge. Also, my clinic is doing televisits and making medication reconciliation this way has been a new challenge.

I have helped patients with COVID-19. Some of our diabetes/Spanish speaking patients are positive and I need to help them go through the process with their provider to make sure they are following the protocols and also NOT forgetting about their other health conditions.

Most of the time I work as a backbone, working remotely, but two days a week I have to go to the clinic. It is scary I must confess, you never know. But here I am ready to serve!! To serve my patients, my people!! Ready to give a hand!!”
