PTCB Employer Program

Advocate Employer Program

Pharmacy technician employers committed to quality certification are invited to join the PTCB Advocate Employer Program. At the end of the year, 806 employers participated and the total keeps growing. These employers represent all practice areas, including community (independent and chain) and health-system pharmacies. By choosing PTCB, they support quality certification and are assured their PTCB-Certified employees are credentialed by the nation’s leading certifying body.

Advocate Educator Program

By year-end, 1,370 organizations participated in the Advocate Educator Program, which is open to all educators committed to quality certification and advancing medication safety. These institutions include community colleges, universities, high schools, technical schools, employer training programs, health alliances, and career centers. By choosing PTCB, they support quality certification and are assured their PTCB-Certified students are credentialed by the nation’s leading certifying body. PTCB Certification provides a sense of accomplishment for students which benefits the patients they serve, and educators participating in the program will encourage technician students to achieve and maintain their PTCB Certifications.

The PTCE is a challenging exam, and we are open about that. Patient safety demands rigor. We publish extensive detail about the PTCB Programs and exams.

Not One, But Two! A New Version of PTCB’s Practice Exam

PTCB introduced a second version of the Official PTCB Practice Exam on September 1. Both the original and newest version are built to the same content specifications as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE). The Practice Exam is priced at $29 for one version, or $49 for both. Educators and employers can offer technicians the extra practice of two test versions at a discount. The PTCB Practice Exam is the only practice exam authorized by PTCB.
