PTCB Recertification is Now Easier and Faster

CPhTs Must Create Their NABP e-Profile Before They Recertify

May 14, 2019

PTCB has streamlined the recertification process so Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhTs) can renew in minutes.

To take advantage of the new process, CPhTs must create an NABP e-Profile before their next recertification deadline. PTCB requires all CPhTs to set up an e-Profile no later than October 2019.*

Having an NABP e-Profile allows CPhTs to enter and track their completed continuing education (CE) hours in CPE Monitor, a central database of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

Recertify in minutes.
CPhTs can recertify in minutes if they have a verified NABP e-Profile ID and confirm their CE hours are visible in CPE Monitor.

How do CPhTs set up an eProfile ID?
CPhTs who do not yet have an NABP e-Profile must visit NABP’s website and create one. CPhTs must be sure to add their PTCB Certification Number to the Credentials section of their NABP e-Profile.

How can CPhTs check whether PTCB has verified their eProfile?
After logging into their PTCB Account, CPhTs look for the   next to their e-Profile ID on their Account home page. If they do not see the  , they can add their e-Profile ID by clicking ‘Add your eProfile’ under ‘Profile Summary’ or when applying for renewal.

How is PTCB’s recertification process better?

  • Eliminates the need to manually enter CE information that is already entered into CPE Monitor
  • Gives instant recertification/reinstatement
  • Reduces potential delays when applying

CPhTs should set up their e-Profile now and save time recertifying!
CPhTs who have not yet registered for an NABP e-Profile ID should do so promptly. For information on NABP e-Profile, refer to NABP’s Help page or contact NABP.
