This CE Course will address Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) treatment options that can improve or prolong one’s quality of life.
COPD is an obstructive lung disease that worsens over time, but develops slowly. It is the third leading cause of death in the United States. More than 11 million adults have been diagnosed and an estimated 24 million are likely to have COPD while unaware or undiagnosed.
As the population risk factors continue, pharmacy technicians should be aware of the importance and significance of COPD prevention. Understanding treatment options and necessary information will allows the pharmacy technician to assist the pharmacist in continuously providing the best quality of patient care. This CE
is worth 2 (two) CE hours. The National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) is offering the activity for free through March 31, 2017. Choose the 'Register as a site user’ option to log in and complete the CE at no charge.
