Washington, D.C. — PTCB is excited to announce a major Continuing Education (CE) Directory update. We have upgraded our existing resource to create a comprehensive online hub of over 110,000 ACPE-accredited CEs for pharmacy technicians. By integrating with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education’s (ACPE) Pharmacists’ Learning Assistance Network (P.L.A.N.®), the directory allows pharmacy technicians to more simply find CE activities to help them meet the requirements for keeping their credentials current. 

CE is essential for CPhTs and CSPTs to stay current on pharmacy best practices, expand their knowledge, and advance their professional growth. Updating and expanding their knowledge through CE activities helps advance medication safety and improve quality patient care. 

PTCB requires CPhTs to complete CE to be eligible to renew and maintain their CPhT, CSPT, and CPhT-Adv Certifications. On average, over 140,000 technicians go through the renewal process each year. With thousands of CE activities in the directory, PTCB hopes to make the renewal process easier and more efficient.
